“The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White steps into the shoes of music legend Bruce Springsteen in the first trailer for “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.” Directed by Scott Cooper, known for guiding Jeff Bridges to an Oscar win for “Crazy Heart,” this new film draws inspiration from Warren Zanes’ book about Springsteen’s deeply personal creation of his 1982 album “Nebraska.”
Jeremy Strong, famous for “The Apprentice” and “Succession,” joins the cast as Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau. Also starring are Stephen Graham from “Adolescence” as Springsteen’s father Douglas, Paul Walter Hauser of “Richard Jewell” fame as recording engineer Mike Batlan, and Odessa Young from “The Order” portraying Springsteen’s muse, Faye. The cast is rounded out by distinguished talents like Marc Maron, Johnny Cannizzaro, Harrison Gilbertson, David Krumholtz, and Chris Jaymes, who each play key figures in Springsteen’s life and career.
“Deliver Me From Nowhere” adds to the flourishing genre of music biopics, following in the footsteps of noteworthy films like “A Complete Unknown,” “Elvis,” and the Oscar-winning “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Produced by Disney’s 20th Century Studios, the film is hitting cinemas on October 24, promising to deliver Springsteen’s story to a broad audience.
