The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) expressed strong condemnation of Kanye West’s recent antisemitic actions on Monday, following a controversial update to his website. The organization stated, “There’s no justification for this kind of behavior.”

In a sea of star-studded Super Bowl commercials, one ad distinctly baffled viewers. Kanye West, who has recently been sharing hateful messages on X (previously known as Twitter), made an unexpected appearance in a commercial for his Yeezy brand, late during the game. The ad featured West reclining in a dentist’s chair, recording himself with an iPhone, and wearing sunglasses.

“I spent all the commercial money on these new teeth,” West noted, showing off his diamond-studded smile. “So, once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um… Um… Visit Yeezy.com.” His site invites visitors to browse clothing, footwear, music tracks, CDs, and vinyls.

However, by Monday, the Yeezy website drastically changed — offering only a single product: a T-shirt bearing a swastika.

The ADL swiftly responded on Monday with a statement. “If we needed more proof of Kanye’s antisemitism, it’s his decision to sell just one item — a swastika-adorned T-shirt,” the ADL remarked. The statement continued, warning about the coded reference “HH-01” printed on the shirt, which stands for ‘Heil Hitler.’ “Kanye has been spewing antisemitism incessantly for days. This behavior is indefensible,” the organization added. “What’s even more alarming is Kanye promoting his website during the Super Bowl, reaching far beyond his substantial online following.”

Apparently, the controversial ad aired locally instead of nationally and was “financed by Yeezy LLC.” It ran again on Fox about two hours post-game.

Just an hour before the ad’s broadcast on Sunday, West tweeted: “MY TWITTER REACH HAS BEEN LIMITED SO I AM NOT ALLOWED TO TREND DURING THE SUPER BOWL I AM SETTING UP A DISCORD CHANNEL ON MY WEBSITE WELCOME TO AMERICA.”

Later that evening, West made his X account inactive. Milo Yiannopoulos, representing Yeezy through his firm, Tarantula, stated, “Ye has deactivated his X account temporarily. Media requests can be directed to my firm at my@trnt.la.”

This isn’t West’s first brush with Super Bowl ads; Yeezy aired an advertisement during last year’s event as well. The current ad follows a string of controversies surrounding West in recent days.
