Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, maintains a positive outlook despite the recent controversy regarding Barcelona players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. The Spanish sports ministry (CSD) decided on Thursday to permit these players to remain active for Barcelona throughout the season, a move that has met with resistance from both LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Ancelotti’s squad may potentially compete against Barça for three trophies.
During a press conference on Friday, Ancelotti was queried about whether the CSD’s ruling affects the fairness of the competitions. He replied, “No, I don’t believe so. We are excited for a thrilling Copa del Rey final and are focused on reaching our goals. We have immense respect for Barcelona, and we know they reciprocate this respect. Currently, Barcelona is performing well and maintaining a positive momentum.” The coach further conveyed his confidence in Real Madrid’s capabilities, emphasizing the significance of remaining competitive across all tournaments.
