In a thrilling conclusion to Matchday 11 of the 2025 Liga MX Clausura tournament, Atlas pulled off an incredible comeback from 3-0 down to defeat Tijuana’s Xolos 4-3 at Estadio Caliente. Despite goals from Raúl Zúñiga, Jhojan Julio, and Jesús Alan Vega giving the hosts a comfortable lead, Atlas, under the helm of Gonzalo Pineda, displayed resilience. They managed to level the score with a brilliant strike from Matheus Doria, a well-taken penalty, and a goal from Uros Djurdjevic, who completed his brace. The red card shown to Unai Bilbao further tilted the match in favor of the red-and-black, and with Djurdjevic’s hat-trick, they completed their remarkable turnaround. Although both teams remain outside the playoff zone, Atlas celebrated a victory that, while not advancing them in the standings, tasted more sweet than bitter.
