Before the Bombs Hit: A Revealing Look into Yemen Strikes

Being part of a group chat with U.S. national security leaders about impending military operations in Yemen felt surreal. Initially, it seemed unimaginable, but the reality set in once the bombs began to strike.

On March 15, shortly before 2 p.m. Eastern Time, the world learned of the U.S.’s aerial bombardment on Houthi positions in Yemen.

However, I had a head start. I became aware of the potential strike two hours prior to the first detonation because, at 11:44 a.m., Pete Hegseth, the Defense Secretary, had texted me the detailed war strategy. This included explicit information about the weapons, targets, and timing.

This needs a bit more explanation.
