Buckman Bridge Briefly Closed Due to Police Investigation

Early Thursday morning at 7 a.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office issued an alert regarding the closure of the Buckman Bridge in both directions. This closure was a result of ongoing police activity on the bridge.

Fortunately, about an hour later, the bridge was reopened for traffic in both directions, easing commuter concerns.
