The Celtics have been one of the few NBA teams this season with a stronger performance on the road than at home. However, they have an opportunity to close that gap on Wednesday when they face the in-form Miami Heat.
Boston, boasting a 56-19 record, has just concluded an impressive 6-0 road trip, elevating their away record to 32-7. This undefeated stretch is now the longest road trip without a loss in the team’s history, surpassing a previous 5-0 streak from February 1973.
Following their 117-103 victory over Memphis on Monday night, the Celtics head into Wednesday’s game riding a nine-game winning streak, having secured wins in 14 of their last 15 matchups.
On the other hand, Miami, with a 34-41 record, has bounced back after a disappointing run of 10 straight losses in March. The Heat aim to continue their resurgence by extending their current five-game winning streak. They cruised past Washington, 120-94, on Monday despite missing key players like Andrew Wiggins (hamstring), Duncan Robinson (back), Kevin Love (personal reasons), and Davion Mitchell, who was sidelined late due to a stomach illness.
