In newly unveiled CIA documents, it’s disclosed that in 1988, the agency was involved in a clandestine mission under the auspices of Project Sun Streak. The objective was to find a lost artifact using remote viewing—a technique where individuals perceive details about distant or unseen targets by using their minds. During one particular experiment, a participant dubbed Remote Viewer No. 032 was challenged to locate an unspecified object, which, unbeknownst to them, was the Ark of the Covenant. With no prior awareness of the task, Viewer No. 032 described a container of wood, gold, and silver, embellished with six-winged angelic figures, and resembling a coffin in form.

“This is a container that holds another within,” Viewer No. 032 recounted, as cited by the New York Post. They further depicted the object’s location as “concealed—underground, shrouded in darkness and moisture,” hinting at its hidden setting.

The remote viewer sensed protective presences, cautioning that any unapproved attempt to access the Ark could lead to its intruders being “eliminated by the guardians of this container through a force beyond our understanding.” Additionally, Viewer No. 032 envisioned Arabic-speaking individuals dressed in white around the site, with visuals of mosque domes, as reported by Insider Paper.

“The target’s purpose is to unite people, associated with rituals, commemoration, and revival,” remarked Viewer No. 032, in an interview with Metro. “It embodies spirituality, knowledge, and lessons from history that surpass our current understanding.”

Launched in the 1980s, the CIA’s Project Sun Streak aimed to utilize individuals claiming psychic prowess to pinpoint distant locations solely with geographic coordinates. This project sparked intrigue and debate among scholars, archaeologists, and conspiracy theorists across the spectrum.

The Ark of the Covenant, revered as the most sacred artifact in Judaism, is described in the Bible as having been crafted by the Israelites circa the 13th century BCE. It is said Moses placed the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments within it. The Ark was housed in the Sacred Chamber within the Temple of Jerusalem until it vanished amid the Babylonian conquest in 586 BCE.

Throughout history, numerous hypotheses have surfaced regarding the Ark’s whereabouts. Some speculate it was transported to Ethiopia, supposedly residing in the Church of Mary of Zion. In 2018, a faction of American Christians from the Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration Institute (BASE) asserted they found the Ark inside a secluded African church, according to Metro. However, many scholars were quick to dismiss these assertions, leaving the Ark’s true location shrouded in mystery.

The declassified files included detailed illustrations showing one of the four seraphim stationed at the Ark’s corners, along with a depiction of mummies in a lineup against a wall. There were also sketches of a mosque with a dome, igniting further speculation regarding the Ark’s possible residence in the Middle East.
