Twitch sensation Kai Cenat is at the center of controversy following the circulation of a video that shows him interacting with his friend, RaKai, in a way some deem inappropriate. On March 12, 2025, a clip lasting just 28 seconds went viral on the platform X, featuring Kai knocking on a bathroom door where RaKai was occupied. Urging the 16-year-old content creator to open up, the twice-crowned Streamer of the Year said, “RaKai… open it.” In response, RaKai exclaimed, “Na, I’m taking a st!” Despite this, one of Cenat’s associates opened the door, revealing RaKai in an awkward situation. The video then shows Cenat taking RaKai’s phone and displaying it to the camera. This footage has sparked a flurry of reactions from numerous netizens on X.
User @Jiz expressed outrage, labeling the 23-year-old’s actions as “disgusting,” and called on brands like Nike and Twitch to take notice of the streamer’s actions: “Why did Kai Cenat do this?? This is actually disgusting. I hope Nike & Twitch see this, also RaKais mother needs to take him away from them.” Another member of the community criticized Cenat and his associates for seemingly suggesting to young viewers that entering a bathroom without invitation is acceptable: “They are three grown men forcibly entering on a 16-year-old. Even if scripted, they’re teaching kids watching that it’s okay to invade privacy in a bathroom, which it isn’t.” Meanwhile, another user drew parallels with Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban for similar behavior in a public restroom: “Didn’t Dr Disrespect get banned for doing this exact thing but in a public bathroom?”
Conversely, a segment of the audience defended the interaction between Cenat and RaKai as typical “big brother” behavior, dismissing the outrage: “This is normal bro, this is big brother shi.” Recently, Kai Cenat has been making headlines due to his divisive views on PewDiePie’s fame, adding further fuel to the online debate.
