Six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams has inked a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams, as the team announced on Sunday.

Adams steps in as the Rams gear up for the departure of their star wide receiver, Cooper Kupp.

On March 4, the New York Jets released Adams, just three weeks after revealing their separation from his preferred quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

Under his new Rams deal, Adams will earn a base salary of $8 million in 2025 and $16 million in 2026. The 2025 salary is guaranteed, and he will receive a $6 million roster bonus, also guaranteed, on the third day of the 2026 league year. The contract also includes a $12 million signing bonus and allows him to earn up to $1 million in yearly incentives.

Adams was set to have a $38.3 million impact on the Jets’ salary cap for 2025—a league high for wide receivers—with $35.6 million in non-guaranteed base salary. This was the contract the Jets assumed in October when they traded for Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a 2025 third-round draft pick.

The Jets reaped significant cap savings, clearing $29.9 million from this season’s financial obligations.

With a new leadership team—head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey—focused on eliminating remnants of the Rodgers era, following a disappointing 5-12 campaign, the organization initiated a substantial overhaul.

Adams ended the prior season with a flourish, recording 67 receptions, 854 yards, and 7 touchdowns in 11 games with the Jets. His combined performance with Las Vegas saw him surpass the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth consecutive season. Among his top performances was an impressive 198-yard, nine-catch game in a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

At 32, and a three-time first-team All-Pro, Adams boasts career totals of 957 receptions for 11,844 yards and 103 touchdowns across 11 seasons.

Drafted by the Packers in the second round in 2014, Adams spent his first eight seasons in Green Bay. There, he ranks second in franchise history for touchdown receptions (93) and catches (669), and fourth in receiving yards (8,121).
