Hand-painted by the talented Tony Stella, the fresh poster for “Death of Unicorn” channels the retro vibe of iconic 1980s artwork reminiscent of Drew Struzan.

This darkly whimsical comedy is hitting theaters this weekend, brought to you by A24.

Produced by the renowned Ari Aster, known for “Midsommar” and “Hereditary,” this movie marks the inaugural feature of writer-director Alex Scharfman.

The film boasts a stellar cast, featuring Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Richard E. Grant. Additionally, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, Jessica Hynes, and Stephen Park complete the ensemble.

In a twist of fate, a father (played by Rudd) and his daughter (played by Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn on their way to a weekend getaway. The plot thickens as his billionaire boss (Grant) looks to capitalize on the unicorn’s healing powers.

Meagan Navarro shared her thoughts in a review from SXSW, noting, “The concept behind ‘Death of Unicorn’ is unique, and Scharfman’s dedication to creating a larger-than-life spectacle is admirable. However, the anticipated satisfaction of watching the greedy elite face a harsh showdown might fall short of expectations.”

Stella has a history of crafting artwork for esteemed companies like Mondo, Criterion, Shout Factory, Vinegar Syndrome, Arrow Video, Kino Lorber, and Waxwork Records, among others.
