The Eagles have recently parted ways with Josh Sweat, making way for a fresh addition to their defensive lineup as they gear up for the 2025 season.

According to Adam Schefter from ESPN, the team has finalized a contract with veteran edge rusher Joshua Uche.

Uche wrapped up the 2024 season with the Chiefs, though he missed participating in their Super Bowl loss to the Eagles. Midseason, the Chiefs acquired Uche from the Patriots by trading a sixth-round pick, during which he accumulated 10 tackles across six games with Kansas City.

Originally drafted by the Patriots in the second round of the 2020 draft, Uche’s tenure there included 76 tackles, 20.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
