The Philadelphia Eagles soared to victory in a dramatic Super Bowl, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22. Entering the game, the Chiefs hoped to solidify their place in history as the first NFL team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. However, they etched a different kind of history altogether. Their offense struggled mightily, managing a mere 23 yards and zero points in the first half—their performance among the poorest ever recorded in a Super Bowl.

From the outset, the Eagles commanded the field, maintaining dominance throughout the entire game. Despite a late surge from the Chiefs, who managed to score two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the fourth quarter, the Eagles sealed their emphatic victory with a 40-22 scoreline. High expectations were placed on Kansas City’s star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, yet he delivered one of the weakest performances of his illustrious playoff career. Besieged by the Eagles’ defense, Mahomes suffered six sacks, fumbled once, and threw two interceptions which directly aided the Eagles’ scoring.

On the flip side, Jalen Hurts dazzled for Philadelphia, playing a pivotal role in their success. He threw for 221 yards, showcased his agility with 72 rushing yards, and was responsible for three touchdowns. The Chiefs could find solace in their defense, which effectively limited Saquon Barkley, the Eagles’ running back phenom, to a modest 57 rushing yards.
