Apologies and Refund Plan for Shuttered Shuttle Service Customers

Eight Black, the now-closed airport shuttle service, has reached out to customers who were left in the dark about what to do with their unused vouchers after the business unexpectedly shut down last Friday. In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, the company expressed regret for not addressing voucher refunds in their initial closure announcement.

Official Statement from the Founder

Simon Chen, the owner and founder, signed the statement posted on Eight Black’s Facebook and website. The message read, “I sincerely apologize for the lack of information on voucher refunds in our recent email about the shutdown. That day was extremely challenging for me on a professional level.” He assured customers that plans to handle refunds are underway, emphasizing his commitment to returning payment to every customer, regardless of the time it takes. Chen noted his understanding of the disappointment the situation has caused for both clients and the Boulder County community.

Voucher Refund Process

The notice informs customers that upon completing the refund request form for their vouchers, they will receive further instructions from the company on how refunds will be processed. Priority will be given to customers who obtained vouchers during the latest sale cycle. While the goal is to process all refunds within a year, Chen expressed a hope to expedite the timeline if possible. “If we can finalize refunds sooner, we will,” Chen assured, acknowledging the distress the service shutdown has caused.
