A dramatic incident unfolded at Denver International Airport when an American Airlines aircraft burst into flames while stationed at the gate.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the crew aboard Flight 1006 reported experiencing engine vibrations during their journey towards Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
The situation escalated after landing when one of the engines unexpectedly ignited while the plane was taxiing to the gate. This prompted passengers to urgently evacuate the aircraft via slides and stand on the wings to escape the smoke.
All 172 passengers and six crew members safely evacuated and were escorted to the terminal to ensure their wellbeing.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
