The excitement of the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend is in full swing, with the Bay Area as its vibrant host.
For the first time since 2000, the Golden State Warriors are welcoming the All-Star Weekend, bringing back memories of unforgettable moments like Vince Carter’s legendary dunk contest performance. This year’s action is spread across the Chase Center and Oakland Arena, adding to the event’s splendor.
Kicking off this star-studded extravaganza, the weekend began on Friday with the ever-popular celebrity game, where Team Bonds clinched a 66-55 victory. Following this, the Rising Stars event took the spotlight, with Team C emerging victorious from the four-team tournament and securing a spot in Sunday’s All-Star Game. The weekend continues with Saturday’s agenda featuring the skills challenge, the 3-point shootout, and the iconic slam dunk contest, all leading up to the 74th NBA All-Star Game scheduled for Sunday.
This year’s game introduces an innovative format with four teams squaring off in a tournament. Three of these teams, Team Chuck, Team Shaq, and Team Kenny, were assembled by the analysts from TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” while the fourth team, Team Candace, comprises the champions from the Rising Stars game.
The tournament consists of a total of three games: two semifinals followed by a championship game. Each player on the triumphant team will earn a whopping $125,000, while those finishing second receive $50,000, and players on the third and fourth-place teams will take home $25,000.
