HBO has officially announced the first set of actors cast in their upcoming “Harry Potter” TV series. Among the regulars, the cast list features John Lithgow taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer portraying Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu stepping into the shoes of Severus Snape, and Nick Frost bringing Rubeus Hagrid to life. These casting choices had previously been the subject of speculation.
Joining them are Luke Thallon, who will appear in a recurring capacity as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse, who is set to play Argus Filch in a recurring role as well. This confirmation brings excitement to fans eagerly awaiting the series adaptation.
