Intriguing Picks and Surprising Moves in the 2025 NFL Draft

Moving past the first two days of the 2025 NFL Draft, I’ve noted a plethora of intriguing selections from the second and third rounds that caught my eye. Teams found great value: six prospects from my top 32 rankings were still unchosen when Cleveland began Friday’s picks at selection 33. And yes, among those unclaimed, quarterback Shedeur Sanders remains notably available. Numerous franchises bolstered their rosters with influential edge rushers and dynamic playmakers, players who many believed might have been scooped up in the first round. It was also impressive to see how effectively some teams addressed their specific needs. However, not every decision made sense to me, with a few choices seeming like a stretch. Day 2 offers a prime opportunity for teams to nab quality talents at a bargain, though some definitely made puzzling picks.
