Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco has inked a one-year, $4 million contract with the Cleveland Browns, according to his agent Joe Linta, who revealed the news to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Friday. This deal marks Flacco’s return to Cleveland, a city where he previously earned the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year accolade in 2023. The contract includes incentives that could elevate its value to an impressive $13 million.

Despite engaging in discussions with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings, Flacco chose to commit to his 18th NFL season with the Browns. In a statement at the NFL’s annual meeting, Browns co-owner Jimmy Haslam informed a group of local reporters that Flacco remained a viable option for their team, signaling their mutual interest.
