Kanye West is under fire from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Jewish Committee following an antisemitic outburst on X, where he shockingly stated, “I’m a Nazi,” praised Hitler, describing him as “so fresh,” and expressed his delight when Jewish individuals claim they cannot collaborate with him. Among various offensive remarks, West also asserted he would never apologize for his comments about Jewish people.
“Here we go again. Another egregious display of antisemitism, racism, and misogyny from Ye on his X account this morning,” said Jonathan A. Greenblatt, CEO of the ADL, in a public statement. “Just a few years ago, ADL discovered that 30 antisemitic incidents nationwide were linked to Kanye’s 2022 antisemitic remarks. We denounce this perilous behavior and emphasize that it is a clear and undeniable act of hate.”
Similarly, the American Jewish Committee criticized West for utilizing his platform to propagate anti-Jewish hostility. They highlighted the significant risk his influence poses to millions of his followers, particularly on social media, where incidents of antisemitism are increasingly prevalent. This isn’t the first time West has attracted criticism for similar rhetoric; he previously faced objections in 2022 for making threatening anti-Jewish remarks.
