Every year, countless students across the United States undertake the SAT—the Scholastic Aptitude Test—a pivotal step in their journey to higher education.

The SAT assesses critical skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Achieving a high score can greatly enhance college applications and provide access to scholarship opportunities. In 2023, the College Board reported that over 1.9 million students participated in the exam. Many colleges and organizations offer scholarships contingent on exemplary SAT performance.

However, the competition is stiff. While programs like National Merit emphasize PSAT scores, numerous scholarships also take SAT results into account. Some institutions even automatically grant merit-based aid to high achievers.

So, when will SAT scores be available in 2025? The College Board, which oversees the test, has announced that the release of scores will occur in phases based on whether the tests were conducted over a weekend or during school sessions:

Spring 2025 Score Release Dates for SAT Weekend Tests:
* Scores for June 7 test-takers will be released on Friday, June 20.

The timing of score availability is determined by your test submission date, rather than your scores, grade, or location.

If you took the test prior to June 7, either at school or independently, your scores should already be accessible.

What time will scores be released? Last year, to accommodate the high demand from students eager to access their results, SAT weekend scores were released incrementally, as noted by the College Board. Some students could check their scores as early as 6 a.m., with the majority able to access them by 8 p.m. on the designated release day.

For students who took the SAT during in-school testing, scores generally become available around 6 p.m. on the specified release date.
