Two of the NFL’s standout wide receivers will remain with the Cincinnati Bengals for the years to come, as Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have signed contract extensions. Chase has secured a four-year deal worth $161 million, featuring $112 million guaranteed. Meanwhile, Higgins has inked a four-year, $115 million contract with guaranteed earnings during the first two years. Chase’s agreement boasts an unprecedented annual average of $40.25 million, setting a new NFL record for non-quarterbacks.

These deals cap off extended negotiations for both athletes, with quarterback Joe Burrow actively supporting their contract renewals. Chase, who celebrated his 25th birthday on March 1, was fresh off a stellar season, leading the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. Despite battling injuries last season, Higgins remained an impactful player. With both stars nearing the end of their rookie contracts, the new deals dissipate the prolonged contract uncertainty.

The Bengals’ director of player personnel, Duke Tobin, highlighted that these investments are for the future impact both players are expected to deliver. Signed to new multiyear contracts, Chase and Higgins are integral to bolstering the Bengals’ competitive edge.
