During his congressional address on Tuesday night, President Donald Trump announced a new executive order renaming a wildlife sanctuary in honor of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl who was tragically murdered by individuals believed to be undocumented migrants. Jocelyn’s body was found on June 17; she had been strangled to death after being lured to the site by the suspects who allegedly killed her.

The heartbreaking case captured the public’s attention, as Trump introduced Jocelyn’s mother during his address. He revealed that, in memory of her daughter, a 34,000-acre wildlife refuge is being named in her honor.
