A 3.7 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties late Friday night, creating a noticeable tremor in Malibu and surrounding areas, including Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, South Bay communities, Long Beach, and the San Fernando Valley.
Another tremor followed early Saturday morning, with a 3.5 magnitude quake striking near Malibu around 6:30 a.m. This shaking was also experienced along the LA County coastline and in South Bay communities, among other locations.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or significant damage. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lost Hills Station confirmed on social media that there have been no reported injuries or structural damage. They are keeping a close eye on the situation. These recent events were part of a trio of seismic activities surpassing magnitude 3.0 in Southern California, spanning Friday and Saturday, including a 3.5 magnitude quake in Idyllwild, Riverside County.
