Series of Earthquakes Shake Hayward, California

On Thursday, Hayward experienced a sequence of at least four earthquakes, with magnitudes ranging between 2.7 and 3.7, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. The initial earthquake, measuring 2.7 in magnitude, was recorded at 5:08 a.m. by the USGS. Not long before noon, a second quake, registering at 3.3, hit the same area, followed by another at 3.2 just two minutes later. Close to 2 p.m., a third quake, preliminarily gauged at 3.7 magnitude, also shook the region. Residents from as far as Concord and Fremont reported feeling the tremors. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
