Residents of Oklahoma should brace for storms bringing intense rainfall and potential hail, starting Saturday morning. According to KOCO 5 Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane, these storm systems are set to move into western Oklahoma and proceed towards the central parts of the state as the morning unfolds. By 10 a.m., the Oklahoma City metro area could start experiencing storm conditions, although the greatest threat of severe weather is expected closer to the Red River.
On Saturday, as these storms journey across the state, they will be accompanied by torrential downpours and significant lightning activity. Early in the afternoon, the storm front is anticipated to span from northern to southern Oklahoma. This weather pattern is expected to persist through the afternoon before gradually shifting eastward by Saturday night.
