Although there hasn’t been a formal announcement about a remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a leaked Bethesda document from 2020 hinted that the project was under development. Rumors have also circulated suggesting that the classic 2006 RPG will be recreated using Unreal Engine 5, with Virtuos Studios, who is also working on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, taking the lead on this endeavor.

Now, there’s even more evidence pointing towards this project’s reality. Reddit user Taurnil noticed that Virtuos Games unintentionally uploaded a series of screenshots to their website, offering our first look at the updated Oblivion. The project is intriguingly being called a “remaster,” and the images featuring PS5 logos suggest that the game won’t be strictly an Xbox exclusive.

At the moment, Virtuos has retracted access to these images, leading to a “403 Forbidden” error when trying to view them. With hints so strong, it seems likely we’re venturing back to Cyrodiil soon.
