In the early hours of March 16, an unforgiving fire swept through Pulse nightclub in North Macedonia during a live concert.

Tragically, at least 59 individuals lost their lives, and over 100 sustained injuries in the devastating blaze at Pulse club, located in Kočani, a town in eastern North Macedonia. This catastrophic event unfolded around 3:00 a.m. local time on Sunday. During a press briefing shared via Facebook by MIA News, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski outlined the grim details. He revealed that pyrotechnics used during a performance by the local pop group ADN ignited the fire. The injured patrons, suffering from severe burns, were rushed to hospitals across the nation, including facilities in the capital city of Skopje. Among those severely hurt were several event organizers. Police have apprehended one suspect and detained others as they continue to probe the fire’s cause.
