A critical recall has been issued for Ready-to-Eat sandwiches and snack items produced by Fresh & Ready Foods. It’s imperative not to consume, sell, or serve these recalled items as the FDA’s investigation remains active.

Fresh & Ready Foods, LLC has announced a recall for a range of Ready-to-Eat foods, which do not require further cooking. This includes sandwiches and snack items with “Use By” dates stretching from April 22, 2025, to May 19, 2025. The affected brands in this recall encompass:

  • Fresh & Ready Foods
  • City Point Market Fresh Food to Go
  • Fresh Take Crave Away

Consumption of food tainted with Listeria typically triggers symptoms about two weeks after ingestion, but in some cases, they can surface as swiftly as within the same day or take up to ten weeks to appear. Mild symptoms include fever, muscle aches, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, and diarrhea. For severer cases of listeriosis, symptoms can escalate to headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions.

The distribution of these recalled products occurred from April 18 to April 28, 2025, and they reached consumers across Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington. These items were available at various venues, including retail stores, food service locations such as hospitals, hotels, convenience stores, airports, and airlines.

Latest Update May 10, 2025 The FDA and CDC, in coordination with state and local entities, are probing a multistate outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to Ready-to-Eat (RTE) foods.
