Vancouver Whitecaps FC is gearing up for a significant showdown as they start their journey in the Round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions Cup. On Wednesday, they’ll face the formidable CF Monterrey, a powerhouse in Liga MX, in the first leg of their match-up at BC Place.
The second leg is scheduled to be held at Estadio BBVA on March 12. The aggregate winner will advance to challenge either the reigning Central American Cup champion, Alajuelense, or Liga MX’s Pumas UNAM. The tournament features seven MLS clubs vying for supremacy, with the ultimate prize being a coveted spot in both the FIFA Club World Cup 2029 and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025.
