The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly revamping their defensive line with the acquisition of seasoned players.
Jonathan Allen has secured a contract with the team, and according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, the Vikings are also poised to sign Javon Hargrave following his release from the San Francisco 49ers. Hargrave’s release is anticipated to occur on Wednesday, allowing the 49ers to classify him as a post-June 1 cut.
In 2024, Hargrave was sidelined for all but three games due to a torn triceps. During those limited appearances, he recorded seven tackles and one sack. Impressively, he achieved at least seven sacks each season over the three years prior.
If the deal goes through as expected, Allen and Hargrave will significantly alter the Vikings’ defensive front for the 2025 season.
