Williamson Sidelined in Champions Trophy Final – Chapman Steps In

Kane Williamson won’t be taking the field for New Zealand as they go up against India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. Mark Chapman will fill Williamson’s spot in the field.

Williamson incurred a quad strain while batting. In his brief time at the crease, he managed to score 11 runs from 14 balls before Kuldeep Yadav caught and bowled him in the 11th over.

In their first innings, New Zealand posted a total of 251/7 in 50 overs, setting India a challenging target of 252 runs in the title decider.
