Legendary wrestler Sabu, known for his time in ECW and WWE, is said to have passed away at 60, according to a report by PWInsider released on Sunday. As of now, details surrounding his death remain limited. Sabu’s last match occurred during “WrestleMania Weekend,” where he emerged victorious against Joey Janela on April 18.
Prior to cementing his legendary status, Sabu had a brief stint with WWE in 1993, participating exclusively in dark matches. In several candid interviews, Sabu disclosed that WWE once considered him for the role of The Sultan, a character he eventually declined, which was then taken over by Samoan legend Rikishi.
