Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' Tour: A Dazzling Debut at SoFi Stadium
INGLEWOOD, Calif. - A year after the release of her groundbreaking album, Beyoncé is bringing something extraordinary to stage with the “Cowboy Carter” tour. The pop icon captivated the audience at SoFi Stadium just outside of Los Angeles on April 28, setting off a 32-date stadium tour with a sizzling performance of “American Requiem.” Dressed in a stylish, white-fringed outfit, she lit up the stage with flair and pyrotechnics. With this tour, Beyoncé has added another remarkable achievement to her name, holding the record for the highest number of performances at the 70,000-seat venue. Her Renaissance World Tour in 2023 saw her perform there over three nights, and now her Cowboy Carter opening event marks her fifth all-stadium tour—deriving heavily from her critically-acclaimed album which won Album of the Year at the Grammys. Of the 36 songs performed during the nearly three-hour spectacle, 19 hailed from this celebrated album.
Beyoncé enchanted the audience with seamless choreography, exquisite costumes, guest appearances by her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi, and even featured a mechanical bull. Following her electrifying California performances, she will head to Chicago and East Rutherford, New Jersey, before taking her show to Europe in June. She then returns stateside for performances in her hometown of Houston, Washington, D.C., four shows in Atlanta, and finally a spectacular ending in Las Vegas from July 25-26.
