A widespread manhunt is in progress for 57-year-old Vance Boelter following the killing of two lawmakers in Minnesota, with authorities labeling the attack as politically driven.

State Representative Melissa Hortman, the leading Democrat in the Minnesota House, along with her husband, fell victim to what Governor Tim Walz described as a “politically motivated assassination.” Additionally, State Senator John Hoffman and his spouse were shot by the same perpetrator, but both have survived after undergoing surgery, according to Walz.

Police responded to an incident at Hortman’s residence where they encountered a police vehicle parked in her driveway. A person clad in a police uniform emerged from the home, fired at responding officers, and managed to flee the scene, officials disclosed.

Authorities discovered a list containing nearly 70 names in the suspect’s car, which included other lawmakers and individuals involved in abortion services. However, officials remain uncertain if anyone else was complicit in these attacks.
