Monterrey and Pachuca Battle for Playoff Positions in Final Matchday of Clausura 2025

Monterrey and Pachuca waited until the last matchday of the Clausura 2025 regular season to secure their positions in the standings. Rayados finished in seventh place on the table, while the Tuzos claimed the eighth spot; both teams ended with 28 points, with goal difference ultimately deciding their rankings.

Rayados wrapped up Matchday 17 with a victory away against León, where Iker Fimbres and Nelson Deossa scored the goals to secure a 2-0 win at Nou Camp. On the other hand, Pachuca traveled to face Atlético de San Luis, suffering a 2-1 loss and also seeing Javier Eduardo “La Chofis” López sent off late in the game.
