A tornado watch has been declared for all of Southeast Michigan late Thursday night.

  • Tornado Warning in Oakland County has now expired as of 1:15 a.m.
  • Tornado warnings previously announced for Livingston and Lapeer counties have been lifted.

This watch remains effective until 5 a.m. Friday as a strong line of storms moves across Lower Michigan.

The storm system has already prompted multiple tornado warnings in areas of West Michigan.

  • Washtenaw County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 1:30 a.m.
  • Wayne County faces similar severe weather conditions with a warning effective until 2 a.m.
  • Macomb County is likewise under a severe thunderstorm warning that will last until 1:45 a.m.
