Nearly half of Americans are marking President Trump with a failing grade for his tenure thus far, featuring near-record low approval ratings as he reaches the pivotal 100-day benchmark in his presidency. According to a recent NPR/PBS News/Marist poll, twice as many respondents awarded Trump a grade of F over an A for his performance during these initial days.
The poll shows 45% of participants believing Trump deserves a failing mark, compared to only 23% who commend him with top grades. Conducted with 1,439 adults between April 21st and 23rd, the survey indicates a notable decline in Trump’s political standing since he commenced his second term. Overall, his approval rating stands at 42%, including a mere 36% of support among independent voters.
