Paddy Pimblett found himself on the brink of a second brawl right after his impressive victory at UFC 314. Known as ‘The Baddy,’ he secured a commanding third-round TKO victory over Michael Chandler in Miami on Saturday night. Instead of relishing his win, Pimblett used the spotlight post-fight to call out former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for a future showdown. Yet, the real drama unfolded backstage when he encountered Colby Covington.

While engaged in an interview, Pimblett was suddenly the target of Covington’s vocal jabs. The former interim welterweight champion mocked him, claiming he only fought ‘lesser’ opponents, which nearly escalated the situation. Pimblett, clearly irked, threatened to ‘slap’ Covington, storming towards the contentious American. Security intervened just in time, ensuring the two fighters didn’t come into contact physically, though their verbal sparring continued until Covington was escorted away from the livid lightweight.

Previously, Pimblett had expressed a willingness to climb to 170lbs for a bout with Covington. Since then, Covington, known as ‘Chaos,’ has targeted Pimblett in various interviews. However, the Liverpudlian recently stated that when they actually met face-to-face at a Power Slap event, Covington had nothing to say.
